Glad to have this online, but rough OCR
I've been looking for an online copy of the first edition of K&R for a long time. This is the main standard for the C Language pre-ANSI; some seriously archaic computing and an interesting historic piece, even if you wouldn't want to try using it to code now.
The OCR is pretty rough--probably in part because a number of passages in the hard copy appear to have been underlined manually with a pen at some point. Thankfully, the raw scans are embedded and are perfectly readable on a desktop.
Many thanks to the people involved in bringing this piece of history into the digital world.
